Quarry Hill Academy joined the Trust in July 2013 with an Ofsted rating of Requires Improvements. With the support of the Trust, the school made rapid progress and were awarded a judgement of Outstanding by Ofsted in July 2016. Quarry Hill Academy is currently the top performing primary school in Thurrock. The school is also ranked as the top performing school in Essex and 36th in the whole country according to the ‘Real Schools Guide’.
Quarry Hill Academy started as separate Junior and Infant schools, which then amalgamated in January 2011. In September 2013 Quarry Hill became an Academy, and were sponsored by Catalyst Academies Trust. The school has grown in size over the years and now has classes in Nursery to Year 6, with over 500 pupils in total.

The bespoke curriculum is carefully planned to enable staff to teach all the National Curriculum subjects in a creative and inspiring way. Quarry Hill engage children in a range of activities that enable them to develop their knowledge and skills, and equip them for life beyond school.
